As per title - are there publicly accessible records of driving convictions?

I'm asking as someone I know (casual acquaintance) has apparently stopped driving pretty much completely, however there has been the odd occasion that I have seen them driving.

Odd thing is - their partner is now suddenly driving 99% of the time - so just curious... (nosy more than anything - not looking to 'shop' them).

Why would you think this is due to a conviction?

Ha ha - yes I live in Yorkshire but that's not the reason - I suspect the person may have "past form" (if that's the term?).

Medical condition and the driver didn't want to admit to not being able to drive maybe?
Parents had this a few years ago, dads eyesight was going but he didn't want to stop driving, common sense prevailed and he stopped, mum took over the driving.

Court records are public, but not really searchable online

Usually local papers do report a lot of court cases including drink drive convictions, this makes it somewhat searchable these days.
