Going with a group who would like to catch a few of the footy matches and we'll be staying at BSJ. Are there any local bars which are likely to be showing the football? The only other option seems to buy the Speed Chills membership, but at £45pp it gets expensive rather quickly.

Cheers

I'd be interested in seeing which bars are showing the game although I guess most on the main strip will.

We're taking a tv, sky dish and decoder and will have most matches on, staying at BSJ.

We'll be in SpeedChills BSJ and believe (may be wrong) that they'll be showing it.

Still, Nick, if you're showing it I'd love to pop along with TDutchy and watch with friendly PHer's... we will of course provide beer in return smile

Of course, more than welcome. We'll likely be at the top right of BSJ from thurs afternoon.

It's our first time attempting sky to so hopefully we'll get it right. Always a better atmosphere on site when there is a major sporting event on.

If you have a wander round with a beer you'll find a few people with a satellite showing the football. The Stella bar at Tertre Rouge will probably have most matches on (bit of a walk). A big screen in the shopping area above the pits near to the Guinness tent will probably show it (bit of a walk). My personal favourite is watching a match or 2 in the Irish bar in town (rue du doctor leroy, between prefecture and republique tram stops). It's packed after the drivers parade on Friday.
