PCM3 upgrade Nav + ? (Porsche Cayman S 2009)

Aplogy as this has probably been done to death elsewhere on here.
Anybody out there who has actually had the PCM3 upgrade to get the 7 digit post codes?

I'd like to know of, besides updating the Nav with postcodes, is there any other upgrade to the PCM itself?

I rang Porsche Exeter who quoted £199 inc.VAT to use the 4 discs to upgrade and want the car in for "best part of a day"
When I queried length of time the car would be required I was quoted "often when we get to disc 3 it will crash out and we have to start again"

Anybody has actual experience of this upgrade and your comments please.

Can you enlighten me on Blue Skies and Clouds comment?
Or was that simply you watching blue skies and clouds while you waited?

I was hoping the maps would be better in Europe, but still quite out of date. Having done it on one car, I didn't bother updating the other one.
