Had a few friends over last weekend and after dinner we were in the lounge so I decided to stream music from my phone through Apple TV to the Sonos.

I had not paid any attention to setting up the stream and didn't know that once left for a few minutes the screen saver will kick in and will grab pictures from your photostream on the phone. Now I had a bad bruise to my left cheek a few weeks back and had taken a picture of it myself to see the damage, I'm sure the phone knew what it was and punished me by floating it past my guests for the ten seconds it took me to get the phone unlocked and off the screensaver.

It seemed to affect the heating in the room at the same time as it went terribly hot.

Be careful folks if there's anything worse than your Arse in the library!

My phone went through a period of uploading a random picture from my album to Facebook, regardless of the picture I had actually selected. A great deal of hilarity ensued, along with a smidgeon of embarrassment.

Do people really have smut in their Photostream?

Well, yes, actually apparently they do, Miss Lawrence.

Still does my head in. When you know what the phone does with camera images and people still take them!
If you've Onedrive on your phone it's probably in three or four places in the cloud immediately, and once it has got into the cloud then it's OUT THERE!

Sorry you had an injury, OP.

You do realise you can play stuff straight off your phone to Sonos.

I was thinking this.

Actually I have no idea how to do it via the appletv.

Yes I do but unfortunately our broadband is down at present as it has been on and off since Christmas, Engineer out again on Thursday. It was through a play-bar attached to the TV.

My first world problem of being 17km from the exchange so they tell me!

Ha, yes could have been much worse!

Several years ago me and my then girlfriend went for dinner at our friends place where he and his wife would cook us a meal. My friend hooked his laptop up to the TV so he could play music through. Shortly after sitting down to eat I saw a fairly shocked look on my girlfriends face, and following her gaze I saw the laptop's screensaver had kicked in and was displaying naked pictures of my mate's wife. I've never seen him move that fast in my life as he ran to switch it off!

Yeah about that, my iPhone used to save any image I receive from WhatsApp to my photos...

Which get automatically uploaded to my OneDrive Account...

Which in turn are synced with all my Windows 10 devices...

Including my work laptop, and the Media PC under the TV at home

So when I press the windows key I get a little version of the old Win8 metro screen as my start menu and one of the tiles is photos which shows a randomly selected photo from my OneDrive...

Usually it's one of my kids, or holiday snap, lots of boring pics of serial numbers I've taken for work...

But occasionally it's a post-vasectomy pics of my testicles (and the post-op testicles of my friends) pornography involving mountain bikes sometimes straight, sometimes gay very rarely transgender (I'm part of a large Mountain Biking group on WA that like to use shock value in their humor, it's very funny and a little disturbing).

I should probably fix that...

I'm more concerned that you and your friend share pictures of your testicles!!

You don't?

Either our wives all conspired behind our backs or purely by luck a couple of us had 'the snip' around the same time, there was a bit of competition between us, who's was most bruised, most swollen etc.

Writing it down didn't make it seem any more normal...

Very tame compared to one WhatsApp chat I used to be in!

I dressed up as Michael Myers from Halloween a year ago, and sent the photo via WhatsApp to my mate.

I didn't know he had Apple TV set up, and the next night, my photo appeared on his TV absolutely terrifying his two young sons!

You can turn off the Whatsapp function of uploading pictures. I discovered it with a friend sending me a pic of his big game hunting in Africa. I opened my photstream to show a friend something to find an image of this other mate with the dead trophy. I won't say what he shot but suffice to say, it will divide a room.

I rarely use Whatsapp (probably not for a few months) but it had downloaded anyway.

You have to be careful with iPads and other message systems that sync. There are stories of wives at home finding salacious texts and pictures when they pick up the iPad when hubby is playing away with his iPhone
