997.1 LOCKING ALERT ??!!

I have a 997.1 and when i lock it with the remote the 'bonnet/engine cover' open warning (BIP) sounds. I've checked everything i can think of that might not be closed properly but everything seems as it should. Any ideas out there ?

Probably the glove box or central arm rest not closed - from memory they are on the same circuit

Alarm horn beep or electronic chirp (Siren)?

If a VTS card isn't present when you lock the car you can get the chirp.

Single horn beep is lid / doors / glove box / radio contact

Double horn beep is locking fault

Just been out to the car. (can't get it in the house) and garage full of crap. Opened & closed glove box & centre armrest... problem solved!! You guys are priceless!
