What are these two up too?

Any idea what these two chaps could be up to? Spotted this morning (7:30) on the A414. They looked very cozy just sat on the bridge with that device.



Traffic Census maybe?

Interested that there was two of them just sat there. They don't seem to be doing anything except ensure the equipment isn't getting nicked and have a chat.

Does it really matter? It's actually a very boring aanswer, connected to the forthcoming Edinburgh Way scheme which is being designed as we speak.

But I think the thread is simply a vehicle to have a pop at roads workers, so I'm out.

Well, it is hard to spot road workers actually doing any work.

It's a busy roundabout. I hardly think anyone there is driving far in breach of the posted limit to have to "slam on the anchors".

Just look to be monitoring rush hour traffic flow to me, I suspect traffic lights be on their way to that roundabout!
