My T350 is to have Open Heart Surgery

What pray tell are the other upgrades
I'm running mine in currently. The first 500 miles are painfully slow but after that Dom let's you poke it up a little and it's a whole different feeling! Looking forward to the 1,000 mile service and letting her run free thereafter. You won't be disappointed

The other upgrades are a new clutch, lightened flywheel, decats, aluminium rad plus silicone hoses. I was like a child in a sweet shop, tempted to have a lot more done, but economic sense ( unfortunately ) had to prevail. So for now I'm drawing the line at that.

You'll love it - I have all those on mine
You may also want to factor in Doms uprated fans as the cooling on the T350 is woeful enough without the additional heat the engine produces.

In my excitement to let you all know what I'm doing. I forgot to mention that I'm also having the fans done too!

You are making the right decision while it's in bits and having open heart surgery I did the same, but to add more pain to you I would get the throttle bodies refurbed while its at Doms as it will complement the work you are having done, I had mine done later and what a difference it made, you might consider his new MBE knock
Blooming minefield isn't it but do get the throttle bodies done
You will love the upgrade though more driveable IMHO as it will have more torque
I went for the 4.5 and love it but not much difference in the 4.3 enjoy 😜

Well, good luck then.
I got the 4.5L upgrade and managed to do 300 miles last year due to the engine not running on all 6 right after the service at Doms and he wont respond to anything.
23K bill, my biggest mistake so far. Should've gone for the racing green option.
Sorry to read that. Doesn't sound like Dom! I got the 4.5L upgrade and managed to do 300 miles last year due to the engine not running on all 6 right after the service at Doms and he wont respond to anything.

Very odd. I got the 4.5L upgrade and managed to do 300 miles last year due to the engine not running on all 6 right after the service at Doms and he wont respond to anything.

But I'd avoid RG just for the foreseeable.

i know dom can be troublesome from my personal experience I got the 4.5L upgrade and managed to do 300 miles last year due to the engine not running on all 6 right after the service at Doms and he wont respond to anything.

does not sound like Dom at all, I had a problem with mine cutting out straight after the upgrade, he told me to take it to Taylor TVR as they are just around the corner from me and he had it for a week and checked all the electrics and it still was cutting out, so Dom got it low loaded back to Coventry and found the problem was the OBD was corroded and caused the intermittent cutting out, I never got charged a penny and it was nothing to do with what Dom had done just damp getting in the OBD but as we know TVR,s don,t leak I got the 4.5L upgrade and managed to do 300 miles last year due to the engine not running on all 6 right after the service at Doms and he wont respond to anything.

Well, I decided to let him rebuild my engine because everyone is praising his work. I also talked to straightsix, racing green and topcats.
There were a few more things that just came together. I know my car wasn't in best condition and the engine should have been the last thing on my list but then decided to put itself on number one. It ain't that easy for me to drop in to Doms because it's an 850mile trip one way, so just dropping it off costs me easily 1k.
Even if I appreciate that he made it possible to drop the car off on Saturdays, the 4 weeks rebuild took from January till June.
I pretty much gave it up. Basically I wanted a Sag to join the Tuscan, but since these troubles I'm looking for Noble, Lotus or Corvette. Or even going back to the japanese is an option.
@PGNSagaris: Did I miss something about racing green? All I experienced each time I called theme the expected price for the rebuild went up.

Just out of curiosity what is the problem / syptoms, where is the car now and have you took it back to Dom to sort the problem out, I appreciate that you are 850 miles away but you knew that in the first place and that only Dom can touch the engine or it will invalidate the GUARANTEE see what I am getting at, my advise would be get the cat back to Doms forget emails and let him sort it out
Well, the problem is that the engine sometimes decides to turn off at least one cylinder (could be as well 2). It runs really rough when this happens an has massive lack of power, but there is no specific rev range or throttle position when this happens, can go away when you accelerate more or lift the pedal for a brief moment. I immediately thought it could be the coil pack and changed it but didn't do anything.
There have a few more things happened that caused my lack of trust.
But anyway, I don't want to hijack the thread.

does not sound like anything to do with the engine, I would suggest electrics have you gone to your nearest TVR garage and let them hook it up to the diagnostic programme if not you can do a search and it will be on here, no good to me as I don,t understand them, maybe someone on here can help but its nothing to do with the engine by the sounds of it sounds like some sort of electrical gremlin as I said mine cut out and turned out to be the OBD connector corroded might be worth trying that its under the passenger side in the foot well you cant miss it like a computer connector mine was green with corrosion and similar symptoms as yours just a clean up and off we went There have a few more things happened that caused my lack of trust.
