B8 S4 Insurance for Stage 2
Discussion
Hi everyone,
My car insurance is due and rather than just go with a sensible quote, I figured it would make sense to shop about with some of the specialist insurers as once someone can crack the Simos 16 ECU on the CREC engine, then I'm planning on getting the work done. The thing is that with Revo/APR/MRC the increase is likely to be over 100bhp from standard and it seems that most insurers tend to see this as their cap. It's proving more difficult to get a realistic idea as it's also not something I have done yet (clearly!) so am trying to insure an unmodified car initially.
Sky and Chris Knott are the only two that seem to cater for it, but Chris Knott have the 100bhp max increase, which would rule out a stage 2.
Who are people using to insure their modified S4's?!
Cheers,
Ols
