What is the opinion of the masses ?

For the PS 3 (& also previosuly for the rFactor on the PC), I've been using a Logitech Driving Force GT.....which of course doesn't work on the new PS4. The only driving game I have on PS4 is Driveclub but I've got to the stage that using the controllers just isn't working for me anymore.

So, what steering wheel ? Must work with the PS4 & PS3. I am not spending hours on this (used to spend too long a couple of years ago in an rFactor league so have got that out of my system !) so I cannot justify spending lots.

1st off, I'll be selling the Driving Force....what is a reasonable price....I've seen a few on Gumtree locally for £50 ?

At the moment, I'd be ok spending around £100 + whatever I get back for the GT wheel. Looks like there is only the T150 around this price range (£100), everything else looks almost double that or more.

Thoughts ?
Thanks.

I know this is almost double what you said you were willing to pay at £180, but this is new gen version of the G27 which is the DFGT big brother. I had (still have) a DFGT, upgraded to a G27 (still have that too) and used it for 4-5 years and it has been brilliant. I've only recently upgraded to Thrustmaster gear because I found some awesome kit on Gumtree cheapy cheap.

Fatastic wheel and normally priced at £300...

This would be my recommendation...but then I'm on that slippery slope toward a full motion rig so I'm probably not the best budget buyer...

I had a dfgt and went to a thrustmaster t300rs.

You may be able to find in your price but it's made my dfgt feel like a toy, I'd highly recommend. It's pc, ps3 and ps4 compatible.

For wheel stands I would personally recommend the GT Omega stand

I tried out a mates wheel stand pro stand (with the single centre bar) and hated it. Actually found that it it felt slightly unstable and didn't feel worth the money. The single upright annoyed me.

The GT is much more substantial with two vertical supports and a good solid base for the peddles. It absolutely will not rock at all.

The Omega is also cheaper than the wheel stand Pro (which free's up some money for the wheel itself wink )

Was just about to post the same link op did. At that price you've got to be happy with the g29.

Also shifter lights are cool. Is supposed to feel the same as g27 and doesn't come with a shifter but you've got all you need got a good multi Platform wheel.

Give us your thoughts of you buy .

The G29 @ £180 is definitely good value.....its just out of my current price range ! Hmmmmmm...decisions decisions......

Maybe I can buy it with cash so SWMBO can't see the price on the credit card :-)

PS...I have my own "home made" stand consisting of an Ikea chair, 3 pieces of wood and some Velcro :-)

The T300 is the better wheel, I have a T500 now and it is better than the G27 I used for years, the FFB is smoother, I have had more glitches and I've needed to restart more since swithing though, so not without issues. The T300 is £270 cheapest price I can find. The OP said he wanted to spend £100...at £180 the G29 is good bang for buck, and not too far off.

T300 RS £209 from Amazon. Think I will sell the GT wheel first and see what I get for it.......tempted to wait a little while and go for the T300(and gives me time to complete the negotiations with SWMBO).

For info, and I don't know if it's a national or local offer, but PC World in Merthyr are doing 10% off on all Logitech gaming accessories so I got the G29 for £162 :-)
