I've stripped my Wedge ready for a complete chassis refurb, need to get it to the blasters. Does anyone know how much a bare 350i chassis weights?

I have a trailer but was wondering about using the roof bars?

Yep, my mate took his Taimar chassis to the blasters on top of his Alfa GTV. I'm gonna guess maybe 100Kgs?

Thanks guys, the Volvo manual says 75kg max on the roof bars, I've had more on them before though should be OK, fingers crossed.

What's the worst that can happen?

The Volvo could end up with an integrated elaborate roof rack...whistle

I've picked one up and moved it by myself and with two people it's quite easy so I'd say well under 75Kg.

I ran across this picture in the TVR Classics section of the Forumn on a Vixen restoration.

Cheers tvrmk363 just the encouragement I needed.

Finished degreasing the chassis on Monday, ready to be dropped of at the blasters Monday.

I know there is a few holes in the outriggers, fingers crossed for the rest.

Fixed that for ya!

Yeah I'm sure the bare wedge chassis can take the weight...

I've had the taimar chassis and the wedge chassis on the roof of my touran with no problems, although they were both considerably lighter on the way there!
