Crikey, just come across this Jeremy Clarkson of restaurant reviews. I would never normally read the Guardian newspaper or website, but her review just came up near the top of the searches for a restaurant who's phone number I was looking for.... That led me into her columns online. She's recently visited Rick Stein's in Poole, where I've been a number of times. She has valid points, wrapped up in very witty, sharp, almost 'Brass Eye' type not-sure-if-real provoking comments. Ha ! Sandbanks 'bloated McMansions squatting behind high, prole-repelling hedges'... magic, with a bitter socialist twist. f

I never miss Giles Coren in The Times on Saturday. However, he does get a bit wearing with his frequent reminders of how posh he is and his refusal to review places any further away than Oxford unless it's a very special occasion and then he'll doubtless complain about it.
