A report in daily Record 11 cars caught in sudden hailstorm

An absolutely horrendous hail storm, I got caught in it, went from black road to an inch deep in huge hailstones in seconds and like driving on marbles, 4 vehicles off the road on southbound carriageway opposite me and 1 on the northbound. About a mile further north met that police car on blues rushing towards the previous incident, suspect it suddenly hit the hail lying on the road.
