So I wonder if anyone can advise of the "go to place" for valuations of vintage equipment? I have a number of separates from 70's and 80's which are in excellent condition. Rather than just sticking them on eBay for 99p reserve and seeing what happens, I'd like to get an idea of values. Having done a couple of searches I can't find similar products for sal to allow me to get an idea of value.

One item is a Technics SL-150 (Mk1) and another is an Aiwa tape deck - AD-F770.

Any dealers or reputable online traders you could recommend?

Thanks

The last AD-F770 on Ebay for £210-230 and the SL-150 for £130.

Thanks for the replies. eBay I know has a wider audience but I thought there maybe some specialists out there. There is an Aiwa on there overseas for $500 which, given it cost £300 new is a strong price.

Nakamichi Dragon fetches close to a grand these days. Technics SL-1200 fetches strong money, £7-800, don't know about the 1500.

Its the Obelisk 1 amp. I remember when I got it, amps used to have a million flashing lights and buttons....this was black with just a volume dial. I've just dug it out of the shed and have started running the laptop through it. Sounds bloody lovely smile

Good lord those Technics SL-1200s are strong money. I can sell mine today for more than I paid for them 15 years ago... Might be time to get them listed on ebay I think.
