So myself and a few friends are on the way back from the Nurburgring 24hr and are going to stop in to Le Mans on Sunday 5th June to see the Test day.

Does anyone know which camp site they will open at the circuit yet?

And is the designated camp site still left open on the Sunday night?

Is it pretty quiet on the Sunday night? Any recommendations for anywhere with a good atmosphere that night?

Thanks in advance.

Campsites only open Sunday morning 12th of June.
If you want to camp Sunday 5th, I'd recommended the Camping Municipal in Spay, as it is the campsite closest to the circuit.

I have just done a search on Accorr hotels and this was the cheapest at €52. The Formula1 and Brithotels are already full.

I am fairly sure the ACO offer limited camping facilities for that weekend?

Yes, I've read in numerous older threads on here that there has been limited onsite camping the weekend of the test day in previous years.

There are plenty of people bunk down on Saturday night within the car park between airport and entrance. But you would be mad to leave anything valuable there. The hotel is a much safer bet.

I emailed the ACO and they have confirmed that there will be on site camping on the Sunday night.

Prices and exact location to be confirmed closer to the test event.

I have stayed once in the back of the pub outside the circuit for test day and once we camped by the dunlop bridge.
