There will be no dual clutch available in the next generation Vantage. As good as the ZF is, this is still a disappointment, especially since the AMG GT already has one. At least the manual will continue.

Of course what AP hasn't said is whether the 2 pedal option in vantage will be conventional auto or single clutch automated manual

Logic says the former - it doesn't seem to have harmed F type sales or opinion despite seeming to me, rather strange for that type of car

However keeping sportshift in vantage wouldn't surprise me

Personally, I think that would be a mistake - whatever people feel about sportshift (and I'm a supporter), it is compromised, it will never go down well with the press and if you are giving manual as one of 2 options, I think the other option really does have to be one of the less compromised 2 pedal boxes i.e. auto or DSG

I think an auto box in the Vantage range would attract more female owners, and increase sales in the USA, Middle East, and China.

Good news for the manual lovers, it seems however that the V12s then only come with ZF auto box? (very good news for the current owners of a manual V12 :-)))

Pity however about the dual clutch, that would be the best of both worlds imho.
