Targa roof repair

1st question of many.
When I bought my Chimp the previous owner was not careful about stowing the roof or didn't use the bag and so a section of the mohair on the front off side corner (about 40m)has worn away. Anyone any ideas on what could be done.

Bit reluctant to get it re-covered due to matching up with the rear section etc. Sounds expensive.

I have heard of people mixing epoxy with black 'fluff' to patch such localised damage - the intention being that the epoxy bonds down the frayed edge of the fabric so that it doesn't chafe away any further, whilst the black fluff gives a reasonable (but far from perfect) colour and texture match.

Haven't seen such a repair, though, so I don't know how well it works.

Thanks for the info. I have left a message on the S site you suggested for some more info. Don't fancy trying a repair myself, Think these things should be left to the experts or it could look really naff.
