2003 Seat Leon Cupra R

Hi, I bought this 2003 Leon Cupra R from eBay at the end of Feb, I will use it as a daily driver as I just got so bored of the old Mk2 Mondeo diesel.
I have only just got round to taking some photos of the car, its far from mint condition and done 104k miles but its my daily driver so I can't be too fussy about it. It has a few mods including a Forge 007 dump valve, full Cobra Exhaust system with Sports CAT, front mount intercooler and a Stage 1 remap.
Since I have had it, I took it for a full service at A&A Vehicle services in Stoke as I wasnt sure when the cambelt was last changed, its a good job as the belt was ok but the water pump was on the way out also the top mounts were changed as it was a MOT advisory.
One Saturday I drove up the M6 to Morecome to swap the rims plus cash for some refurbished wheels from a company called Top Wheels, as the original wheels were in a bit of a state
It looks much better now I think.

Stage 1 will be about 260bhp which is more than enough in one of these, as said, the brakes are fantastic too.
I had a 54 plate stage 1 LCR for a bit but couldn't live with its harsh ride and multiple interior creaks and rattles. They are good though,you just need to be in the mood.
That missing jacking point cover needs replacing, I lost one of mine and unless you can get a used one they aren't cheap for what is a small bit of plastic.

Nice choice, spend some money on getting the brake calipers spruced up, intercooler piping tidied, and it will look the business.
I have had mine for 11 years now, quick, practical and still, to my eyes, one of the better hatchback designs of the last few years. The only issue, is the front spoiler, it will catch on every raised piece of road you find, becomes a consumable.
I have found mine to be quite tyre sensitive, with Goodyear F1s and Falken 452, no torque steer at all, with the new Falken 453 asymmetrical tyres, quite noticeable.

Nice car, well done. I still miss mine, had a 55-plate LCR for about 4 years. Top tips would be fit a rear anti-roll bar (Whiteline do a decent one at a good price) and upgrade the front one (Mk4 Golf R32 bar is a direct swap and a bit thicker). These will nicely improve the car's composure when cornering.
Yes the front mount is on the list to do, it does look untidy, I might spray the pipes black in the short term so I don't look so much of a rude bwoy!
It's strange there was quite a bit of service history and receipts with the car but nothing about the modifications. I would like to know who remapped it, and if it has ever been on a rolling road.

Get yourself on to seatcupra.net I used to be a member there, very good site for info and advice for pretty much any SEAT model. I used it extensively. Might be worth posting your registration number on there, reasonable chance that a previous owner was a member there. I'm sure I've seen at least one car with a reg starting KE03 like yours.
