Im getting closer to buying my first 996 Turbo , its had a good report from the AA ( other than CV boots n a gearbox oil gasket) . But the interior isnt the best . Will it hold back the cars future saleability? As the asking price is around £25000 but im fairly sure the seller will take £22000 then its not a bad buy. Perhaps already marked down due brown hide !

I like it. Beats black.

I like the brown (not so sure about the black (carbon?) details). It's grey that I can't stand.

But at that price, in today's market, any colour would work!

That is horrendous. But if you can stomach sitting in it then its up to you.

Agree - at that price you could buy it, swap out the interior and still be quids in

In isolation, I'm not sure. Especially with the carbon bits. You could whip them off and sell them on. They're quite expensive.

However I really like the colour against the exterior paint. Overall I think the car looks great!

Infinitely preferable to black.

Always found it amusing that in Ferrari circles cream and tan are king but black is less desirable. Yet with Porsche it's the other way round. I personally like it and at that price wouldn't be bothered. If you really can't live with it, a complete 2nd hand interior isn't too dear or a full retrim. Get it bought biggrin

The exterior colour is like a silver but not quite . A web search came up with Meridian metallic?
I thought it was not as good as grey but thinking now i dont mind it !

The car is in Hong Kong. As i am. The market for 996 tt here is small hence some fairly good deals when compared
To UK. However you gotta like Tiptronic, as 99% the Porsches pre PDK were this . Manuals are rare and you prob pay double to get one .

As a 2nd car for weekends, i think i can live with the colour. But agree , the shiney plastic bits would be more suited to a Subaru .

As many other s have said.. Looks like the leather could do with a good clean, otherwise no problem with it. The shiny bits are awful, although everyone would love it in a new Bugatti:

The exterior colour looks lovely.

I've driven my 911 with a Savannah interior almost every day for three years and am very happy with it. I've driven a Ferrari California with the same interior and apparently that's fine - don't know why Porsche suffer for it.

I nearly bought (should have) a lapis blue 996t with this natural brown interior. I liked it and wouldn't have any issues today.
Porsche didn't really do a linen equivalent in the early 2000s but did sand leather in the 997 era.

But Subaru have more taste than to put that in their cars. Porsche put it in loads so its likely better suited to where it belongs biggrin

I had a Range Rover with (IIRC) parchment leather which was a real PITA to keep looking tidy - blue dye from jeans used to discolour it.

I don't think the exterior and interior combination on the car in the OP looks to bad. A decent valet and it might come up nicely.

The colour is fine, it's the fact that condition is befitting of Toyota Avensis minicab that's done 300,000 miles. Ther reality is black hides the age that bit better.

Hard to find a Ferrari with proper mileage and use, which is probably why they can carry off the tan interiors.

Shape and style of 996 interior is dire so anything tan struggles with this car,Suits any Ferrari as ergonomically ahead of any 996.However looks extremely cheap for a turbo and easy to have the leather recolonised.

To my eyes the brown is ok but in rahter poor condition. I'd change the steering wheel as I don't like the carbon inserts. Would never buy a tip though
