Manifold Gaskets

I have just changed the manifold gaskets, what a complete and utter nightmare. I now need a set of skin grafts on my hands and forehead. I stood admiring my handy work last night, and turned the key(It sounded like a Sherman tank). I'd only gone and put one of the gaskets upside down(I've got a degree in engineering!). So after swearing in a dozen different languages, I got back under and started again. The moral of the story is 'Pay someone else to do it'.

I'm half way through doing this. One bolt just will not come out!!!!
Still, nothing ventured etc etc.
You using the later stainless steel gaskets?

I had the same problem with one bolt, completely rounded head. Had to cut it off in the end, then used a stud remover to get it out. Yes used the new type gaskets. Also whilst they were off I spray painted the manifolds.
