Engine/transmission mount issue?
Discussion
Hi All
My 987.2 Cayman S with 46,000 miles is exhibiting some undesirable symptoms. It appears a little rough and uneven at idle, think American muscle car, with vibration and a little shake. It shakes when shutting the engine down too. When accelerating there's an initial lurch and then it's fine. Coasting in gear down hill it will buck and shunt a little too.
The engine and transmission oil has been changed, air and oil filters remewed, plugs changed, checked the coils, MAF cleaned, throttle body cleaned and a high strength fuel cleaner purged through. That little lot doesn't seem to have made much difference. I do have duramatric and no codes are being thrown but a few misfires do appear, nothing that throws a CEL up though.
So, anyone noticed similar symptoms? Any improvements after engine/transmission mount replacement? Are mounts covered under warranty?
Any help appreciated.

Hi Jammy, I change a lot of dualmass flywheels on 987 range, due to vibration, with car stationary and take revs up slowly and i can feel the out of balance between 1000-1300 rpm, then it gets less.
I did have one with a seized dual mass, and the inside mirror was jumping all over the place, this will eventually cause the crankshaft to snap.I have heard of a couple that went.
