Sports cars on the Shuttle
Discussion
Seen loads of low cars go on, en-route to Le Mans over the years and the loading staff have always been on the ball, picking them out and sending them either to the lower deck of 'coach' carrages. In either case you've got about a 1" bump on to the loading ramp and it's basically flat from there.

just indicate you want to be on the lower deck hen you approach the train and (unless you're super wide like an XJ220) you'll be fine. The latter go with the coaches
The cars don't go with the coaches on the lower deck, this is a separate carriage and for over height vehicles only and has limited availability, they will not allow you to swop if you are not pre-booked. There is certainly a lower deck for cars and if worried about splitter's, when approaching make it clear you want to go on this lower deck they might resist at first but usually understand your concerns.Honest truth, my car is lower than most, Entered the train ok but when driving further down the carriages to disembark, I GOT STUCK BETWEEN TWO CARRIAGES!
We both had to get out of the car and push it across the crossover strip! Had a queue of cars behind us! Only happened on one carriage but it did cause a hold up!
We always go lower deck and in with larger cars and vans its called "high side" its also better because the curbs in the carriages are much wider.
