Do people bullst so much? Now being over 40 I think I'm allowed to be a miserable old git, but I literally try now to limit my exposure to the general public whenever I can. Not that all folk are to be avoided but empty vessels etc. I was helping my mate lift a roll of carpet out of his van, into his rental. Guy from two doors down couldn't help himself, 'alright lads , yeah I was going to buy those two houses over there for cash'. Two houses which aren't for sale and never have been, my mate knows the owner. This seems to happen quite a lot, what do individuals hope to gain from such behaviour? How does attempting to posture at people who he hardly knows, or in my case had never met, help him in life? I don't really understand. Strange.

I'm now definitely middle aged. Think I'm going to go and look through the gardening section in Aldi smile

Picked up an incinerator bin from them last week for a good price (just thought I'd let you know).

People get lonely and seek companionship, they're just often not articulate enough to express it in words. Much like a guy trying to chat up a girl, making her feel uncomfortable in the process even though his initial intentions were good.

Have some compassion is what I'm saying. And stop taking everything personally, it's bad for your health.

Problem is they keep the bullst up long term then once they're your friend, that's also bad for your health.

I'm not angry I understand it's no good in the long run. I seem to attract these people though, but only recently, maybe it's an age thing, they think any other male over a certain age is ripe for a story?
