390se at its new home. Well nearly :-)
Discussion
Well after what seems like a never ending journey the 390se is in Cannock, Staffs. Not quite at its new home as it will be living at mine while we try to get it road worthy.
I'm sure we will have a new forum member shortly when the new owner drops in to introduce himself.
But I'll start the post off.
As Paul said there is an issue with engine numbers, the new owner is more interested in getting the car ready for some serious fun rather than missing a rare car. May be an issue if the car is ever forsale in the future? But hopefully this will be many years away.
Work required that we know about!
Outrigger snapped on drivers side at body mount. But most of chassis looks solid.
Rear brakes (Oh God not again. Having done this job twice I'm not looking forward to this)
Complete fluid and lubricant replacement. Engine, box and diff. Brakes etc.
Four new tyres.
Dodgy head light level on near side.
As its been of the road for 6 years I'm sure there will be lots more!
Here she is posing with my pride and joy.

The car came with a 5th OZ wheel but it's a 15" 8J. I take it this is not the standard width for the car? Not had time to look yet but I'm sure they are not 8J?
This is now the 3rd Wedge I know of living within 200 yards of each other. All with different owners, anymore in Cannock we don't know about?

Not sure about the engine number? Loads of paperwork to sift through, but the last owner had it 16 years and it didn't have an engine change during that period.
To wiped out after a day in the passenger seat of a Transit to start messing now. Off to the pub me thinks :-)

Looks a great car and not too far away. Will your mate be joining the TVR CC Staffs group - I'm aiming to cover a few of the Oswestry Iron works breakfasts.
Hi KeithYep hopefully we will have another member. Which will encourage me to move my backside and attend a few more meetings. We were not too far from you today on the way back. Radnor forest, Leominster etc. Lovely part of the world but it was a long day. It's hard to believe it can take 4 hours to travel 126 miles with zero traffic!

Good to see another car in Staffordshire. Let me know if you go the fest and what day.
Hi ColinWill do. Looks like we are going, just need to sort out the hotel. But Zig has sent me the details, so I will be on the case on Monday. You need to come over for a Blast when we get Ade's red beast sorted.

Blimey, you'll have passed by the door pretty much then. Would have been good to see you and you could have had a tea/loo stop! The biscuit tin is always full, unless I've had a skin full and the missus has gone to bed early....... Would be good to catch up. I've got the Staffs diary for this year so will come along to a few of them.Yep hopefully we will have another member. Which will encourage me to move my backside and attend a few more meetings. The priority is going to be getting the red beast on the road. Following that we will definitely be at a few of the above. Can't believe the noise it makes. Thought my 350i sounded good. This thing is on another level. :-)TVR events I'm hoping to cover this year are:

Couple of pics from today. Ade started to remove the rear calipers for reconditioning at Big Red. What a crap job that is, I didn't hear much swearing though, so he must have the patients of a saint. In hind sight we should have dropped the diff out, it would have been much easier and faster.
I sorted the slightly low near side head light pod. One of the rose joint type ends had lost its centre allowing about 15-18mm of play. Managed to fabricate a nylon bush which seems to have done the trick.
Removed the drivers side sill to access the outrigger grott. I've not seen fuel pipe routing like this before, looks very dodgy so when we renew the fuel pipes they will not be running through an open wheel arch! The damp patch you can see in the pic of the out rigger is petrol. Rubber pipe onto 10mm copper and no clamps to be seen?
Outrigger repair is going to be a pain but the rest of the chassis looks solid.

Fuel pipe routing is exactly the same on my 390SE and the underbonnet generally looks identical also, including the rectangular air intake for the heater.I sorted the slightly low near side head light pod. would have been great to take the body off,and give the car a good going over keep the pic;s coming
Yep agreed. But the focus for the next 6 months is usable loud fun! When we are back in deep dark winter it would be good to do a lot more. Bushes, shocks, springs all round, chassis repaint etc.
Mind you I've been threatening to get my engine and gearbox out for the last 2 winters to sort the noisy input shaft bearings. But still not got around to it :-)
