Have some corrosion on the wheel nuts of my 997 turbo - so want to replace all 20 with some new ones, as I continue to give it a cosmetic spruce up

Best place to source genuine OEM or better than OEM please?

Adam, the GT3 spacer kit comes with a new set of bolts wink Failing that you can apply a little smooth silver hammerite to the tops of the bolts with the wheels still on the car using a stencil brush.

thanks for the tip - might try that

certainly preferable to spending $725 plus import duty and VAT on some titanium nuts, although they would shave vital nanoseconds off my trips to Waitrose smile

I went for a set of these. Been on for two years now and still look fresh:

Hi Adam,
I had the exact same thing happen on my old 997 turbo too I went down the route of replacing them with the Porsche black 991 bolts...looked good and never discoloured.

Hmm got a pic?

Black might look ok on rears where they are recessed so dark, but wonder if black would stand out against polished wheel finish, especially on fronts

A tin of zinc galvanising spray. Worked for me. If it's a weekend car - take one nut off each wheel - clean and lightly sand, wipe down with thinners or such like. Get a nice amazon cardboard box and insert threaded part into box leaving the nut outside of the box. Paint - have a coffee, paint again have your dinner paint again. Leave all night and day until the next evening then insert back into the wheel and start again... 2 years with mine and they are still good.

As it happens I have a set of black extended bolts with OEM 5mm spacers about to go on ebay (bought, took a wheel off, saw my car already has spacers, facepalm) - PM me if interested?
