Politics is not unlike anything else.

Money is the currency and power the product, politians can be brought or sold just like anything else.

The bigger the bucks the more influence witness the Referendum Party.

This is not something new it always has been like this and always will be like this in politics.

Not sure about the amounts and honestly thought that it was more than this. However, they do get a lot indirectly , paid for out of the "public purse".

But this is because they are officially classfied as the "opposition" and hence get the support, in this case financially. It the Lib Dems were more sucessful than the Tories, they would get the cash instead....

Otherwise the official opposition would suffer major issues with lack of funds, support and membership. Its there to keep them afloat and campaigning against the encumbant in-power party. To sort of even the balance a little at least.....

Well thats the idea at least.
