I was driving on the M27 on Friday and could of sworn I saw one of these hi-tech 'enforcement trailers' in a lay-by being picked up by a truck.

Anyone know for sure if they are being used / trialled here now?

Amazing how these can detect alcohol and drugs in drivers doing 70mph, as well as phone use and lane hogging...
A facetious statement but wouldn't it be good if they could though? Take the emphasis off speed and put it on fkwittery instead.

It's one of those tandem-wheel tractor unit jobbies. As for the trailer, nothing a bin-liner won't cure.

exactly - armour-plated and with an alarm to stop vandalism, and a 2p black bin liner would disable it smile

Date though? Bit late for April fools, or is it part of the April fools?

Always useful to have a bin liner in the car

Always useful for the people setting these things up to have a couple of cameras watching the thing itself...

If that's armoured then I would not fancy the chances of anyone who leaves the road inadvertently. Surely with all the regulations around barrier deformity and new impact-absorbing signposts this is a total step backwards in safety?

You obviously didn't see the red triangle in front of it. How could anything possibly be dangerous when i has a warning triangle in front of it.

I'm surprised they haven't banned overbridges with all that dangerous concrete!
