After 20 years of TVR ownership I would say this forum and its members offer the best advice, Just use the search facility and you will find everything you could possibly need.
TVRCC would also be beneficial, I believe there is a TVR resource Libary available plus members have a wealth of knowledge but most are on here anyway.
Keep an eye on ebay for "well used examples"' there are two at the moment, one that has fire damage and one that looks like it's had similar but in a right mess, also looks like its been stored outside and needs a whole lot of work but not impossible given enough time and budget.

Good luck thumbup

All gone a bit quiet on PH, lots of Griff related stuff on FaceBook - hate being on there but it seems to be where everyone has drifted over to.
The Griffith Pages used to be a great resource (www.tvrgriffith.com) but its not up and running anymore. You can find most of the content on various web archives - waybackmachine etc - but it takes a bit of finding

http://www.chimaerapages.com is worth a look, lots of similarities between the 2 models so you'll get some ideas there, hopefully not on the styling front though...

TVRCC is a great resource, just don't expect them to welcome you with open arms if you're doing some major mods - most people on there prefer factory standard or very subtle mods. Looking at your website I'm guessing that ain't what you have in mind!

Best of luck with the search, keep us posted 👍

There are some links to useful information at the bottom of the Griffith Parts List.

And read this http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I always thought there should be a forum on here where folks could post walkthroughs on both common mods or interesting ones to keep them out of general chat and almost have a library of all of this good info. Rather than people asking the same questions on things like alarms, dash removal, engine tuning over and over... I'd be happy to contribute - in fact I'm doing a tasty one at the moment on how to convert to a GEMS ECU...

I think you may need to rethink a bit,

Bottom of the market for complete Griffiths is around 12K, that was for a car I saw before Christmas in need of full restoration and fibreglass repairs to damage and stress cracks. A little while back a griffith was listed on ebay, unused and left outside for a number of years, I think TVR GLEN brought it for something like 11k, sold within a few hours.

If you want a real project, a basic unfinished racer project, of body and chassis recently sold for 4.1k, no engine, gearbox etc.

Only option is keep looking daily, move quickly, be prepared to travel far.

Curious to know why a log book is so important, when essentially you are looking for a car that is pretty sh@gged...?

Only way you'd get a Griff cheap now would be getting that ebay body and plonking it onto an 8 grand Chimaera.

Sounds like you might be better off buying Chimp as you get more for your money. Front end even looks OK if you do something like this: http://www.centraltvr.com/media/cache/ca/94/ca94df... (Mk3 headlight conversion)

Stuart, send me an e-mail and I will send you the scan, as I have done for others. I work in Kazakhstan and won't be home until the 19th so if you can wait that long......? Interested in you personal stuff on 'reverse engineering' and follow the dialogue on the other thread as we are also thinking about a manual.

I do have the bare chassis still but plan to have it galvaised soon after I return home. If you want to scan it again then you need to be quick. Pete

I paid 10k for a 4.0 pre-cat, and although it drove, I've torn it right down for complete rebuild(see "Black 400 Project moves up a gear...", in forum)

That was cheap! From TVR Glen...

I'm in Pangbourne, junction 12 on the M4. Not a million miles from Dorset, depending on whereabouts you are. The alternative is I just send you the scan or you contact StormGuy to see if you can persuade him to let you have a copy of the 3D CAD model - 3 options ....! Pete

OP, there's a griffith just listed on ebay, in bits and missing a lot of parts but just 7k

Whilst very interesting £7k seems a lot for the car as it stands. Suitable engine and gearbox are going to another £6k. Then the chassis refurb.

Then all the little bits of bespoke fittings that are unlikely to be there.

That said, for a keeper, what a great starting point.

Hhmmm, I have a spare 4.0 S6 and gearbox in my bunker scratchchin
