1) Id be a darn site richer.
2) Finding a house to live in would be so damn simple. I wouldnt need a garage.

What else would be different for you?

Sew it be on to this. Stop trying to weave us a tale, spin your yarns elsewhere.

My mum taught my daughter (21 at the weekend) to knit years ago. She worked out how to create her own patterns for various cartoon characters and flogged the patterns on Ebay. Last time she worked it out, she'd sold about £4ks worth!

Mrs Interloper is an avid knitter, yarnny spinny person.

1. Good quality yarn is surprisingly expensive.
2. If its just knitting then this would be true. If you then extended that to spinning weaving and sewing, you need space, lots of space.

Thankfully this balances out, I don't mind tripping over her stuff and she doesn't mind my guitars and the tools and all the cars. Actually two and a half of our six cars are her's anyway.

OH complains that my toys litter the place, she needs her own knitting/crochet den as we have dozens and dozens of rolls of wool etc all over the place, I have lost count of the number of sock/hats she has created... though she does knit for our friends baby and she seems to like getting new boots every few months.

Nothing like a pair of hand knitted socks for the winter. Or another blanket.

It's remarkably expensive if you use good wool. I saw a shawl kit for $800. Beautiful, but not that beautiful for the price.

It's a mystery why a thread about knitting would be moved out of the car forum and into the Lounge isn't it? biggrin
