Electrical Control units in the boot
Discussion
96 4.2 AJP
I have 6 of these fitted above the fuel tank. I am doing a full nut and bolt rebuild and I am not sure what two of them are. So in order from near side to off side I have:
Ignition Control
Indicator and hazard lamps
Light switching
Automedan
Unmarked box
Dim/Dip switching
Any ideas what the Automedan box does, it is dated later than the year of manufacture but cabling looks OEM. Also the unmarked box, any ideas again cabling looks OEM.
Thanks
Ian

As follows,
Automedan - Almost certainly your Window control, 4 plugs, one of which only has 2 thin wires (black, red) in it
Unmarked box - Will have 6 wires coming from it on spade terminals most probably, has a kind of aluminium ish bracket unlike the other boxes. It is the PWM drive for dim dip
The immobiliser and alarm are not in the boot unless its an after market affair.
