I'm travelling up from Cardiff back to my old stomping ground to this event.

Anyone else going?

Hoping I might be able to pick up some bits and pieces.

Anyone got a spare under mirror door switch cover?

Hope we can meet up and say Hello Rich and see your car (I'm still disappointed I didn't get to put any input into it). I messaged Alun on FB earlier - he's not sure he's heading over on Sunday but I've messaged him to see if he's free on Friday as I pass through Rugby on my way to stay with friends.

Meeting a group from the WWMidlands region for a convoy run to the event. The last two years has been about 20 of us which included probably 50-60% Chimaera's(5 on the list so far). Meeting point CV2 at 9am

I love it when 15-20 miles from Burghley almost every junction or roundabout there's a TVR or multiple in sight. Can't help having a big smiley face at the sight and Noise

I'm thinking of going on Sunday morning

1996 4.0 litre Crimson Starmist Chimaera that runs very nicely on nothing more than farts.

I'm not a "Field of Parked Cars" kind of guy, I'm more in the "Drive It & Enjoy It" club, I'll never be a member of the "Park & Polish It" gang.

Saying that... a chance to meet up with some of the PH characters on here and put faces to names would be great

Would be good idea I think, if PHers wrote their usernames on a piece of paper and placed it in the window. Then it would be easy to put names to faces and of course, if you don't particularly like someone, you can avoid them.
e.g. my username is not on my Chimaera - just to confuse everyone

TT,my days don't allow me to stroll too far now alum is only a couple of miles from me why not 3of Us Get together at my gaff for a brew if you have 10mins on Friday

Going up from Milton Keynes on Sunday morning.
Have to admit to being a bit sad as getting a friend to take the Chimaera as my wife cannot do it this year whilst I drive the Tuscan.
Don't want the Chinaera to miss out.

I would assume you will be coming past jct 1,it would make sense for me or rather my driver to loiter on the slip at 1 and tail end you guys, do you have some sort of eta for that area

Hello Richard,

Sorry I got my junctions wrong,I have just looked at google maps at J1 is Rugby and I'm coming from M42 and join M6 at j7a.

This is the only information I have,directions given by the organizer "The route will be M6 East to A14 Kettering, then A43 to Stamford, and should take us about one hour to get there."

It says meet at 9am but doesn't give a leave time so giving a ETA would be difficult,you may only be about 20mins from the meeting point. I know personally I would rather drive 20 mins than sit on a slipway constantly wondering if I've missed them.

If you are a club member then the info is in the WWM region topic "Convoy to Burghley" and I'm sure Frank secondary RO will help give more details on times when or if we pass your location.

A great time visiting friends, meeting new ones and a 300+ mile round trip without a moments worry.

Home to Cardiff in well under 3 hours.

It was great to meet Sheel (Rich) and see his car finished - sorry I missed you today.

Nice to see Alun too!
