Hi All,

My wife has a 'significant' birthday coming up and I was planning on buying a Rolex Datejust to mark the occasion. I have just been informed that she doesn't like round watches and wants something square or rectangular with a bracelet and likes the look of the Cartier Santos which is fine with me. However, before I pull the trigger I'd like to show her a couple of alternatives with the JLC Reverso being the obvious one. What am I missing (with a budget up to £5 000)?

Thanks,

Dicky

How about an IWC Da Vinci midsize, its quite large for a Ladies watch but my wife has tiny wrists and it still looks fine. NO bracelet option though:

Tight, but a Patek 24 should be findable.

OH has Reverso duetto which she loves. Can't recall price but she has had it for 15 years.

This would be my suggestion too. http://www.jurawatches.co.uk/collections/jaeger-le...

Try calling Iconic Watches or Hackett Watches (Dom Hackett on here) for a better price. You should be able to get near to your target figure.

Reverso and Cartier Tank/Santos are the obvious ones, Tag Heuer make a ladies Monaco. Bulgari have the serpenti range which have some really awesome angular looking jewelled monsters, but the ones in your budget are pretty boring and round.

Thanks All. I think the Cartier, JLC and IWC fit the brief so now for some window shopping and a call to Dom.
