Flash of pain in knee

This is Mrs PR, not been to doc yet, it's a difficult one to explain and not sure they can do anything.

Flash of pain, followed by hobbling for a few steps, maybe 10-20 meters, then it's fine. It happens anytime without warning. Any ideas?

Sounds like a piece of cartilage has torn and is getting trapped every so often. I had it and it made the leg go out from under me when it pinched. When it went back to normal position it's like nothing ever happened.

Interesting, what did you do or did it just fix itself?

Mine just stopped happening actually.

Small keyhole surgery is a pretty normal thing to have done though. They just trim the flappy bit of cartilage off.

I used to get this also, but now seems to have disappeared.

Mentioned it to a Physio/sports injury place that I go to and they recommended leaving it alone. The reasoning was that if you had keyhole to remove a bit of cartilage it would probably occur again anyway.

Try leaving alone yes. Probably reoccur -wrong. Sorry. Do it right and it doesn't come back quickly.
