Dear All,

three listed in the PH, er, list.

Any preferences, please, for Robin Lamb, MB&B or Steve Rowley?
2007 CLS63 C service & MOT required.

regards,
Jet

I've heard good things on MB&B from two people that have used them. I've only used the Sytner dealer so can't comment personally I'm afraid.

Update:
Delivered today to MB&B, pick it up next Fri, just more convenient that way.

Booked in for C service, MOT, front tyres and oil level check at next refuel warning crying wolf.
Mildly expensive for the tyres but there's a convenience factor to consider.
Recommended that I have Forte flush & oil system protector (about £20) which I declined. Even when it is was suggested this might fix the oil level sensor,

regards,
Jet

You should be OK with MB&B - certainly for my part I've had no problems and would recommend them.

Steve Rowley is great but then I've only ever taken BMWs there.

I've used Robin Lamb for a couple of old MBs, and was pleased with the service, knowledge and prices. I don't know the others, but would certainly recommend him.

I look forward to your feedback, with cost if possible.

Excellent timing as my SLK55 says it will need a C Service next month, and was about to call RL and MB&B for quotes. I've used RL before with no problems, but always good to compare vendors.

Ready when I asked, had to phone to confirm instead of them calling me (which they said they would).
Didn't change the brake fluid which they suggested was needed. I didn't mind that, really needed every 2 years since the last time?
Friendly to deal with.
Didn't laugh at me too much that I seem to have forgotten how to read the dipstick. The "check oil at next fuelling" warning was real, it was at the bottom of the band.

A cautious recommendation apart from the hard(ish) sell of oil flush/treatment (which I resisted) and mildly expensive tyres (which I could have chosen to organize myself),

regards,
Jet

Sorry to hear that your experience wasn't totally up to expectation.
