Broken dipstick (ooh err!!)
Discussion
Went to check the oil in my Tuscan and when I unscrewed the dipstick the top came off leaving the stick still in place. I managed to get it out but don't have anything to stick/secure it back on to the cap. Anyone been here before or have any suggestions on how to fix it?
Thanks in advance

do a search, i remember reading about someones genius fix it solution for this not so long ago. failing that, as a bodge splints and cable ties would do it if you have anything to attach the two parts to.

Are you thinking of trooper1212's thread.

This happened to my t350. First you need to make sure that all the old adhesive is removed, then rub both surfaces with some wet and dry, and make sure all oil residue is removed.
To reattach i used JB weld from halfords, temperature profile is much better than araldite, its temp resistant upto 300 deg C and has a tensile strength of upto 4000lbs PSI and is resistant to oil and petrol.
