Where does this go? 996 headlight washer hose

Hi all,

Just started on my 2nd midlife crisis and bought a 996 carrera. Having gone through the car i've noticed the headlight washers don't work. There's a nozzle missing (easy enough) but also the hose that comes from the OS front wing just stops at a connector near the battery. I can't see where it's meant to join to after that.
Any ideas?

Is that the vent for the battery by any chance ?

Yes - battery breather hose. There should be a small hole in the side of the battery casing to push in to.

Thought it was , and if like my '99 996 which had a replacement battery from original , the fitting is the wrong size for the replacement battery vent hole.
