Used Speedboat for £20 to £30K

Missed out on a lovely Fourwinns 180 RS 2013 immaculate at £23K with trailer. Widening the search. Like the look of the Regal 1900. There really doesnt seem to be much stock around. I live in Devon and looks like I will have to travel some distance to find the one I want. After a bowrider, inboard with decent power, trailer and not too heavy. Needs to look good .. ideas?

We are based in Devon, with a boat in Torquay, currently our third boat. Where are you thinking of launching from?

One Brokerage in Torquay are worth a look, they have a nice looking Rinker that you might be able to negotiate towards your budget, this one is a bit big to trail routinely but there are lots of options for berthing across Devon if needed.
Otherwise I would select the models you like and keep googling them each week, one will come up.....

Hi mate, my pal has a really nice searay I think it's about 24 or 26 foot on a trailer,he paid about £31,000 for it two years ago and hasn't really used it? He is gonna be selling it soon, I know he wants it too go and I think he would take around £25,000 for it?Biggles111 said:

Thanks Biggles, like the look of your sea ray. The Rinker is lovely but its a bit big and more than I want to spend. I would prefer to tow it is yours too big for that, I have a defender for towing and it may just be me and my 13, 11 and 8 year old children so needs to be easy to launch. I was thinking Exmouth, Dartmouth etc as launch areas. Is yours a 4 wheel trailer? Does the boat need anything doing to it? Why are you selling?Some local options; slightly older but reasonable hours

Well under your budget but we've had great fun with a Larson 180sei bought at the start of last season. My first bowrider but always thought the design would work for us and fortunately its proved to be true.
We can happily pull skiers and inflatables with the 130 inboard with plenty of room for the the riders on board to get ready before they take the plunge!
Came with a single axle Snipe trailer but upgraded that to a twin axle DeGraaf which is much better.
I nearly bought a much bigger bowrider (bigger is better right?) but my wife talked me out of it and for how we use it, she seems to have been proved right. Don't even notice it on the back of my RRSport.

I may have located a nice regal 2220 2009. Think I'm going to keep it dry stacked in Plymouth. Limited facilities in Exmouth/ nearer home and can get to Plymouth in 50 minutes and it will be on the water when I arrive. I would be buying the regal privately but unsure how you check ownership etc? is it the same as a car?!
