Not any fking more. The bds phoned today using the number of our doctor's surgery! The message on the answerphone is the same fking st. furiousfuriousfurious

I can't exactly block the doctor's number!

My doctors' surgery always calls from a with-held number. It goes full circle!

When I calmly told them my boiler was only 6 months old, could they pay for a new one, they stopped straight away. (probably on a timer, waiting to get going as soon as my boiler is "old") Worth a shot?

Do you have their number?

I guess you pressed the number to be connected to a human being to do that ? By doing that, you've probably consented to them calling you again - and passing your detaisl onto other timewasting cold callers.

They got really excited when I told them my boiler was a 24+ year old conventional boiler.

Then when I told them my gas bills were under £60 a quarter they were at a loss as to how a new combi would save me money.

Answer the phone and do one of the following:-

You: "Hello..."
Them: "Hi sir, can I interest you in a high efficiency boiler?"
You: "You've called John on the company extension you idiot, I'm sitting 3 rows down from you"
Them: "Sorry what?"
You: "I'm going to tell Chris what you did on Friday night, he won't be happy"
Them: "Sorry .. I'm confused, what?"
You: "Can't believe you did that..."

rofl

Or

You: "Hello..."
Them: "Hi sir, can I interest you in a high efficiency boiler?"
You: "Hi sir, can I interest you in a high efficiency boiler?"
Them: "Sorry, what?"
You: "Sorry, what?"

I can go on for hours... just play with them. I do - and it's funny how quickly they stop calling.

Tell them you're glad they've called because you boiler is unsafe, ham up some story about a major gas explosion, hook them into thinking they've got an order and then when the time comes to give address or payment details explain you can't possibly do that because you died in the explosion.

Was suggested on a thread about ambulance chasers, tried it myself, found it quite amusing.
