IVF Costs - UK or Overseas?
Discussion
Looking for any advice on IVF. We have done one round that was unsucessful and are trying to figure out where to go next.
My wife is 41 and I am 40, so we could not use the NHS and will have to go private.
Is there anyone you would recommend or think we should check out. Any ideas most appreciated.

Sorry to hear you are in this difficult situation.
There are providers in countries such as Spain, Italy, Hungary, Belgium (all over the world infact) and often the appeal is the price. You need to be careful about the local regulations and what come back you would have if something went wrong. The U.K. may be expensive but at least you understand the system and know the clinic is covered by a relatively reasonable set of regulations. You have had one set of treatment so you know what it will involve, now think seriously if you want to add in the stress of taking planes and living in hotels on top of that.
My unsolicited advice would be to stay close to home if at all possible.
Fingers crossed for you.

Three places you should definitely look into:
The Lister Hospital in London.
ARGC, again, in London
Bourn Hall in Cambridge
Cost wise, it will depend on the goods so to speak. IUI might be quite reasonable at the places mentioned above, IVF will be more expensive and ICSI yet more again.
Happy to chat via PM if you want a more personal recommendation, names etc.
Best of luck with it in any case.
