Hello All

I'm a relatively new member but have been lurking in the background for considerably longer! I've had my '89 S2 for around 18 months and love it.

Can anyone recommend any companies that restore alloy wheels in the west country or South Wales - come to think of it anywhere within easy access of Wiltshire?

My OZ 7 spokes are looking decidedly sad and they need a bit more than a good polish!

Can you get brillo pads with lathes and diamond polishers fitted as standard or is it an optional extra with the oven cleaner?

Hello Tom, welcome abord the forum.

As stephenson says, scotch type pads are good but you'lneed to strip the lacquer first.

F908 TIM and others have done this and made a really good job.

I saw Tim's wheels in the flesh the other week and they are great.

Protyre in Westbury always get my business, and I'll be getting my wheels refurbed there in the summer!

It was only a joke!!

Surely the scotch type pads would ruin them.

Not so sure that it would.
I had mine stripped and machined and now have to use elbow grease,0000 guage wire wool and Aotosol, then a polish to coat them.
Needless to say I don't get to do them often

ps. Thanks Kevin...I am very glad I washed it before I came over now!
