Anyone got a windscreen

We are having the S resprayed and want to replace the screen, but we are struggling to find a new one. They seem to be all on back order. So does anybody have one stashed away or know of any in stock. We would love to get it sorted before the Euro tour.

I purchased my heated S windscreen from Ricky Evans Motorsport - he has them made by Pilkington XXX - the heated ones are expensive as a one off - he may be able to obtain a non heated one though?

Thanks Magpies I tried them but they have a 6 to 8 week lead time. I need one a bit sooner.

last year I had a similar experience

9 weeks to go car painted (fully stripped = screen out

ordered screen told 7 weeks delivery

4 weeks to go had car MoT'd without a screen (so no washers or wipers needed)

2 weeks to go screen turned up Yeh...... except it was broken ........oh no

Ricky Evans managed to get another with 7 day delivery

1 week to go next screen arrived and fitted fine.

managed two 40 mile run outs before the 900 mile Classic Spa / Nurburgring run

I had bought a written off S and spent 4 years building it (never driven a TVR before)

Had a brilliant time

I think I was very lucky.. My old screen was taken out last May when the S went in for respray, and I think the company I used set about finding a replacement - green tinted with sunband.. The new one was only ordered about February when I got the car back from the trimmers. When I collected the car the other weekend, the glass company manager mentioned that he'd been told it was the very last one available (at that time I assume), but I honestly thought it was BS. Could be he was telling the truth..!! The one I've got is made by Pilkington..

Probably, you can get them here, even though the delivery time is quite long ... and it's in Germany
