whats on when you switch off

Needs some help
A few weeks back the 100amp fuse went and was replaced. Ever since then I had issues with the electrics. Dont know if coincedence or not.
The problems thats most annoying at the mo' is falt battery. Shes been back to the deal had a new battery, the alternator is charging the battery at the right levels, but leave her 48 hours and flat battery.
I have replaced a fuel pump relay with a non bosch one I did hear mention of that causing some battery drain, but cant think it would flatten a battery that quick.

Any suggestions???

Have you checked that your boot interior light is switching off?

I'd try removing various fuses to try and eliminate the cause.

Isn't that on the same feed as the Numberplate lights..?

Apparently a non Bosch fuel pump relay will drain the battery. I'm not sure why but I would replace it with the Bosch one if I were you. They are about £9 and my local motor factors ordered it for me when I replaced mine.

Chinese whispers, this was done to death recently as long as you have a twin or double make/break relay it will not drain & everything works ok, a changeover relay is not acceptable and will drain the battery.

Thats probably what I was paraphrasing... But back to the guys problem, alternator diode pack? Check resistance from Big brown terminal to casing, with cable off. This would discharge, and for terminal faults is the purpose of the big fuse I believe. If you dont want to do this, just disconnect the alt fuse or Big Brown cable on the alt & see if charge is held.

Funny thing is, I could happily leave the sidelights on either of my Audis for an entire day, along with the power to the GPS mouse, and the alarm, and the battery would still be singing and dancing.

Pull the fuel pump relay out when you park and see if it still happens.

ALternatively, put a multimeter in series with the battery and see how the current drain varies as you pull fuses and relays out. (Best to short across the meter while you connect it up to ensure the inrush current doesn't fry it.)

check the interior light goes off with the doors closed. one of my pinswitches didnt switch properly and despite the fact i switched the light off manually it still powers the windows stops the interior locking button working stops the alarm arming properly (although locks with the remote)makes a big yellow relay get hot and flattens a brand new battery in 48 hours apparently this also happens if the interior light delay relay konks out but on mine it turned out to be a pinswitch
