what battery for a preserp Griffith 500

Just broken down and getting an intermittent problem,so after new coil/alternator/ht leads/dizzy and cap thought i may have damaged the battery (over five years old) and need to replace

anyone had good or bad experience with makes of battery?

any advice would be great

Measure the box it goes in and get the highest CCA one you can - I always go for the longest guarantee so if you have an issue you can get a replacement (4 years min). Mark the box location before you remove the 2 studs under the car as you'll never get it back otherwise. It should be an 072 equivalent.

What FFG has mentioned above is spot on but as an option, I have always used an 069 which is very similar duty wise and also has the battery poles in the correct configuration.
