I'm broke

I've tried outsourcing my CAD work overseas and their accuracy is bad. And they don't / won't learn.

So I'm suddenly stuck with a huge backload, work coming in and my head bursting.

I need to recruit someone in the UK. I can't afford full time, and so need either some part-time or freelance help.

The bit I'm stuck on is where to find the help? any idea's gratefully appreciated.

I used to be a CAD monkey, mechanical though not architectural; what sort of work are you after? I've toyed with the idea of doing it as a pocket money job, but adverts always seemed to be after F/T chaps and I've no interest in going there again.

Hi,

There are dozens and dozens of CAD guys who have lost their jobs in the oil industry, all over the UK but many in London or Aberdeen.

Perhaps some skills are transferrable?

Drop me a PM if you'd like any intros, or post something in the Scotland forum.

cheers,

Foliage

Id love to help you out but I currently (ie this week and next) don't have the time. And im not sure how we'd arrange payment either.

How much design input would you need? do you use a written brief or a sketch?
