What bits and pieces do you recommend I keep in the boot?

I have a cover for the roof, some spray to fill the tyres (get-you-home kind of stuff).

Is there a TVR toolbox somewhere under the carpet or something, or do I have to buy it all myself?

I keep my copy of the bible tucked away in the boot along with a basic kit of pliers, spanners and screwdrivers.

Don't forget the big fuse. AA & RAC don't carry them

Same also, + set of Bulbs, range of fuses inc 100 amp, fan belt, fuel relay and couple of small rolls of duck tape.

I have wondered this for a while, is there an ideal list of fuses worth carrying?, where is the best place to obtain a 100a fuse from?

Read the Bible for a list of fuses, the 100 amp fuse? got mine from my TVR sevice center, in my case Fernies!

I carry this, plus rainex, & a small compressor.

I also carry a spare fan belt..one broke on me and it was a lift home on the back of a RAC low loader. If I had one with me the RAC or myself could have fitted it and been on my again. The RAC or AA etc don't carry these type of belts.

I was lucky that it didnt completely shed the belt so I could see which way the belt was fitted (serp). Might be a good idea to draw yourself a little diagram of the belt configuration to see which way it goes around the pulleys and spanner to loosen the belt tensioner pulley. keep the spanner and diagram in the boot incase needed.

Just a little tip for you from my own experience.

Corrodes and dies as its stuck on the chassis (I believe). Happened to me but luckily I was on my way to the garage for a service so I limped there with a stuttery engine.

It allows an awful lot of current to pass through but when a tremendous amount tries to pass the fuse goes pop and you wish you had a spare.

I like giving sensible answers.

All useful for settling minor traffic disputes......
