So - what do you think?
Discussion
I'm a long time lurker and occasional poster, pondering something and figured the Pistonheads massif might have some interesting input.
I'm a student and have figured out that when i'm 21 (13 months time) I'll be able to (vaugly) reasonably insure something along the lines of Integra R, VX220, Clio 182 etc, only problem being I need to raise about £9000 in that time to buy and insure it!
Current job as Pizza Delivery rider's not exactly going to achieve that so been thinking of money spinning jobs.
This is where the question comes in. Male escort pays about £75 an hour, 2 jobs a week, 3 hrs each that's £450 a week before tax which would well exceed the desired income target by next April. However I don't know a lot about what it involves - there's no way i'm becoming some kind of male prostitute but the companies concerned assure me sex is in no way required.
Does anyone have any experience of this kind of thing? What's it like, who are they typical clients, what do they want. Is it a sleazy minefield i should stay away from or is it the answer to my automotive dreams?

[ebayscammer]Well, did you know that you can make £millions by just sitting on your arse, right there? Just email shiftygit@nigeria.com or call 0845-NAIVE-BASTARD now!!![/ebayscammer]
If you consider yourself good looking enough to be a male escort, why not try ringing round the catalogues to see if they want models? I'm sure the money would probably be better.
Whatever you do though, don't go trying any old agency or anyone who purports to be an 'agent'. I was once approached by a modelling agent (he had all the legitimate paperwork etc and was targeting students) who picked me out in a bar, and told me that a decent haircut would see me in the next local fashion show. I was skeptical so I pressed him with some questions, during which he encouraged me to take up smoking ('good for the figure' Bollocks), and talked a lot about the sex and drugs in the modelling world, but not the money, and if I was literally selling my body, the money is the only thing I'd want. Struck me as a load of exploitative bull, and I told him where to shove it.
Don't think this line of work is anywhere near clean anywhere else than the very top. That's why I suggest you contact the most reputable firms rather than just diving in at the deep end and proffering yourself as a male escort - you've no idea what you're letting yourself in for.

Bear in mind that male escorting is much more about a woman having someone they can take to an event, dinner etc.. than sex
So..
you must be:
Intelligent, Polite, Well spoken, funny, smart and a good convsersationist. You must be able to fit in anywhere and be at your ladies side all evening, getting blind drunk is not a good idea. When you are bored, you must not show it.
For most of your customers its not about looks but you need to be not a total minger!
There will of coarse be the occasional woman who will want extras.
And no, I have'nt done it, but i've thought about it

Are you having a laugh?
Catalogue models make about £75 a day.
If you're willing male escorts can make over £1000 off one date...
Date with who? I reckon you'd have to be Oscar Wilde's wit in Brad Pitt's body to be worth £1k a night. And who would you be taking out who'd pay a grand? Liza Minelli? Go figure.
And £75 a day? Depends on the catalogue or the store I suppose, but that's probably what you'd make in just about every job at the entry level of this kind of work anyway. Are you saying this guy's just going to ring up an agency that'll be perfectly straight with him whilst charging £1k a night to follow some lonely old trout around and then let him keep all the money? There are a few success stories in modelling/escorting that you'll hear about, but the vast majority will be screwed over and thrown on the scrapheap.
I worked as an escort in the 1980's.
Long time ago now but it was all that was available at the time and served its purpose. I got a bit annoyed as now and then the women were abusive. It became clear after a while that it was not the 'perfect' career. I jacked it in after only 3 weeks and now live quite happily as a mondeo.
Hope this is of some assistance.

You appear to have your skewiff view of the world glasses on again.
Women pay for sex too or did you not factor that in when you last wrote up your reasons all women should behave like julie andrews list?
I meant 'sell your arse' as in sell any part of your body - it's just a phrase, no suggestion of who would 'buy' sex, but you are suggesting that he should become a prostitute by any other name. Think of the kind of desperate blokes who pay for sex - would you want to pleasure the female equivalents for the sake of a car.
And when did I ever say that all women should be like Julie Andrews? I've said that men should stop acting like cavemen before now, but I've certainly never said that - get your facts right!
The best way of getting the car that you want is to do a series of rapid trade-ups by either buying low and selling high (do this with classic cars - for example, buy a MK1 MR2 from the bargain section of Auto Trader for £800, sort out the rust spots and cobble the service history together, fit a decent stereo, then sell it in Classic Cars magazine for £2.5k, then buy an Alfa Romeo GTV6 from Auto Trader for £2.5k, sell in Classic Cars for £6k and so on.
OK, so you won't make the money for your Integra Type-R straight away, but you'll be able to drive a fair few nice cars on the way up there, and gain incredible satisfaction from buying cars for peanuts from clueless numpties and selling them on to those who appreciate and value them - you're probably doing the cars a favour!
The other route is to buy unfinished kit cars with unfinished detailing/painting to do, finish them nicely for a few quid then sell them for twice the price you paid for them.
Then of course one of these days you'll see a Type R for sale with 'poss p/x' at the bottom of the ad, you'll have something of value, and the eventual net payout for the car, thanks to your accumulated automotive assets, will be half the price of a soulless Korean supermini.
That or whoring - take your pick
