Sent from my iPhone
Discussion
This has always bugged me, whether it be from my Blackberry, my iPhone or by the Power of Positive Thought (yes I have seen that before) now I have officially reached the zenith of this absurd behaviour.
Just received on an email.
"Sent on the new Sprint Network from my Samsung Galaxy S®4"
This sentence was actually longer than the email text it was attached to.
What the actual juddering f
k is this? I couldn't give a flying f
k what network its been sent on, I have no measure of how fast your email has got to me, you could have sent it last week for all I know, and what f
king difference what phone you've decided to get on your contract renewal does it matter to me, I can't see it?
That is all.
Sent from a desk in London, sort of grey in colour, not bright grey, but a kind of dull white, over some kind of email server, don't know which one but no doubt its helpful information to have at the end of a message.

I guess you're supposed to receive the email and think :
This was sent from a PHONE? An actual PHONE can send emails??????
OMG, I must have one. I will rush out and buy this item of gadgetry immediately.
(Until you remember it's not 1995, and they all do it).
Free advertising I suppose.

My daughters email account is just an alias of my apple account. She changed the settings, which affected all the aliases, so that the "signature" read "Sophie is amazing!" Most people must have ignored it but two business contacts did reply asking what was so amazing about Sophie.
I reckon it was going out on all emails from my phone for about a week!!

It's an automatic signature, the user has to delve into the settings menu to change it. Mine is now like a shortened version of my Outlook email signature, complete with contact number.
Many people don't bother / don't know how to change it though.
This. My wife had no idea how to change it and the only reason I changed it is because it annoys me although slightly less than the original poster 😊Many people don't bother / don't know how to change it though.

Due to this thread I have just dived into my settings and taken of the "sent from mi ipod" sig as it is pointless. I didn't know it was there until I sent an email to my work address and saw it.Many people don't bother / don't know how to change it though.

I think it's more "Forgive the spelling mistakes and brevity". This was sent from a PHONE? An actual PHONE can send emails??????

Well how about people stop pretending they can work on the hoof and wait until they get to a computer with a proper keyboard so they can write a proper email, spellcheck it and stick in a relevant subject line. The amount of times people have forwarded an work related email to me and I have no clue what claim it relates to as the subject line has one word in it. Its pointless as I have to go back to them and ask what the f
k they are talking about. Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
