My wife coined the collective noun for this the 1st time I went off on a PH meet. Its a bit long but very accurate...

'A sad group of car geeks off the internet meeting up in a car park talking about boring cars showing each other their engines then going into the pub to drink a half of shandy then having a drive and waving at each other and listening to the noise in a tunnel I can think of better things to do an a sunday you sad man dont come home late' of Pistonheaders.

Sorry, but if we're not all 'geeks' in relation to something, what exactly are we? The people in this world with no individual interests must have extremely vacuous lives.

Find something she likes doing and call her a 'geek' . Football is the best example of this.

I mean, I like watching and playing a match, but I don't see why the attractions of yakking about transfer markets and management financial strategies, whilst referring to everyone involved in football as though you know them personally shouldn't entail some kind of 'geek' status, even if it's done by lots of people.
