Hi All.

I have been watching the prices of 430's rocket over the past year, with the price of manuals commanding a huge premium over the F1 due to it's desirability for whatever reason.

Is there the same pattern with the price of a manual Gallardo over the E-Gear?

I've tried to look on Autotrader and on here but there aren't many manual Gallardos for sale.

Thanks in advance.

Your Gallardo is very nice too Deano! (James's old car I believe)

I have seen you a few times in the area recently (and we have spoken in the past too - I had the red Ferrari 360)

I just saw you at Gowerton Cross about 30 minutes ago - I was the one on the opposite side of the cross in the white LP560 spyder wink

Thank you very much Frank, Indeed you are correct, I did buy it from James, I remember the 360 you had, 34 ** number plate.....

James mentioned you have bought the LP560 and I've seen it around, I did wave on Frampton Road the other day when I saw you in it (I was in a Black Merc without a front number plate haha).

How are you finding it compared to the Ferrari? I must say, it looks absolutely superb, hats off to you!!!

Thought so! I very very tempted by James's but I wanted an e-gear ironically enough and then decided to go for the Lp560 instead.

Yea that's right, that was the plate on the Ferrari and is now on my Lamborghini too (well on the rear anyway haha) I actually got pulled last Saturday, just 5 days after getting it for having no front plate ha!

It doesn't compare to the Ferrari in any way to be honest, it trumps it in every way and is in a totally different league!

Now you mention it, I do recall seeing a black Merc with no front plate on Frampton road, but didn't recall anyone waving (mainly because so many randoms wave at me that I tend to blank them out haha)

Strangely enough my daily driver is a black Merrc too - a C63 coupe.

Seems we have similar taste in cars 😊

How are you finding the Gallardo yourself?

Good man, front plates are for the weak.......!

I am glad you didn't buy it, looks like it's worked out well for the both of us, I am a manual fan, I think I have a slight bias towards manuals, because the last paddleshift sports car I had was a Vantage Roadster Sportshift and the gearbox was awful (could have been the drivers fault haha). I am sure the e-gear on the Gallardo is awesome though compared to that, especially on your model being an LP560, so I shouldn't let a sour experience with a different marque cloud my judgement on a car I haven't even driven.

The Gallardo is like nothing else I have driven, the attention is absolutely unreal; as you will know, it has caused some negative reactions, but mostly positive from adults and children alike.

The sound is absolutely superb as well, it's a great car to drive and doesn't feel like it's going to break every time I drive it, which is key!

Haha what are the chances of that? The only time I have picked my daughter up from school in it, and you drive past me!

That lack of front plate is a dead giveaway it was you too haha!

The e-gear is superb on this (even more so compared to the F1 on the 360) and I am well chuffed with it.

Same here - my LP560 is like nothing else I have driven too! It is like a pantomine on wheels in so many ways. The attention is 5x as much as my Ferrsri too and 99% is positive with the odd negative ones, but I had that with the Ferrari too and sadly it is expected.

Again my thoughts exactly - the noise is superb! And also feels solid and not a bit fragile like the Ferrari did.

I like the new plate on your Gallardo too - very nice indeed!

Haha I bet she loves the car, my daughter said she was going to pretend the car was grey because she didn't like it being orange when she saw pictures! So funny. She loves the colour now I've actually got the car, she is 7 and the boss so that's good news!

I am glad to see you driving it every day, looks like it's become the everyday car now instead of your C63!

I am off to mumbles soon for a spin as the weather looks decent!

I have three daughters and all love it so much! Funny as they weren't fussed on the car (nor my wife) until I arrived home in it, and their jaws dropped!

Yeah it is a bit like a very strong drug addiction at present - very hard to resist! The C63 honestly seems slow now too - never thought I would say that!

I guess that is where you were off to when I drove past you and flashed you around 4.15pm by Simply Gym (I was in my white Range Rover)

I had already been to Brecon, Swanssea and Mumbles in the Lambo today by that point, and was enjoying some relaxed driving instead ha. Hope you enjoyed mate smile
