Heyfever - GAH!
Discussion
What the actual...
Last couple of days been feeling a bit snotty, thought it was a touch of a cold. Bit early for heyfever... anyway to day in full blown snot-othon and just checked the pollen count and its pretty high. Given it was -2c yesterday morning I am shocked its kicked in so soon, usually don't get a sniffle until well into May.
Anyone else noticed?

Er, yeah that.
Anyway I generally start taking mine about a week before the end of April to get a build up in my system then come May its not actually too bad.
I only really suffer if I go out in an open top car or spend 2-3 hours outside. When I was younger I only had to look at grass through a window and my eyes would start. Worst ever was LeMans 2004, was 35c+ and mad pollen in the air - almost killed me!

Hate it. I don't think I get the full beans, but must be allergic to something. Had a right bad one last year where I managed to end up with a sinus infection to go with it. At one point the pressure in my head was so intense I felt like I was going to pass out. I left work pronto and went to the doctors, then tried to put myself to sleep with night nurse!
Yep - The last couple of nights I have sneezed myself awake at 4am! Mostly my fault for leaving the bedroom window open, but it's certainly kicked in early this year. I'm pretty sure it wasn't too bad last year, because it was so cold and wet through April and May. However I'm currently sitting at my work desk, sniffling, with itchy eyes. It's not the worst I've been ... yet.
I'm hoping to receive a treatment for my hayfever in the next month or so.
Assuming my girlfriend can treat it, then I will be hayfever free for ever!
I have no doubt that it is possible too. Having seen how effective the same treatment has been on drug addicts, alcoholics and smokers I have full confidence in being cured.
If only the treatment had been available when I was a kid, my abiding memories of summer are of being stuck in the house with eyes that had more jelly in them than a Ginsters pork pie, with a cold wet flannel laid over them until they went down again.

Bar one horrific year at school when my classroom was on the playing field (great in summer with the windows open and the mowers going round the classroom cutting the grass...)
I've not been that bad with hayfever.
That said I have noticed a slight itching starting the last couple of days. Hopefully I won't need to be dosed up to the gills just to get through work.
