Paypal secure ?

Ok so i have bough a cheap tv from an add on ebay, thing is offer expired from ebay so i have paid directly to sellers paypal account from mine.( no ebay sale now) so question is am i covered if something is not right or it doesnt turn up or its not new. THX.

You'll be covered paying for goods via Paypal. Used to do this all the time on a forum and once didn't receive an item and seller refused to help (he didn't even send it) Paypal refunded it within hours

Its not due yet but i have heard from seller so all seem ok at the momment. thx.

Should be fine, as an online seller I do it all the time. A certain degree of trust is required but providing the seller has decent feedback on eBay I doubt they'll be dishonest. Even if they are, a Paypal case should see your money returned.

Update. PayPal has closed my dispute saying the seller provided delivery information stating item was delivered. Well i still have not received it and now know this to be a scam. The tracking number never changed from when i first got it and when i did open the dispute i received a email from seller telling me to close it or i would not receive TV or any refund1 How the hell has he done this ? and whats worse PayPal have just accepted his false information. I,m on the line now to PayPAL BUT THEY NEVER SEEM TO ANSWER i have got into a queue as i have said i want to report fraud. So beware PayPal is not secure at all and it looks very unlikely that i will get my money back.
Tracking company was bee logistics who i have never heard of, i believe them to be a part of this scam. Beware out there! Very disappointed with PayPal.
